“Yesterday I never slept thinking about how I will prepare a lesson with the tablets, today I have done it and my students love the outcome.”
Julius, teacher in Tanzania
Each year more impact
Each year we create more impact by cooperating with new schools
Vision
A clear vision promoted by each school principal is essential for the success of our projects. In this way, the teachers know what is expected of them and they feel supported.
Expertise
Teachers need to have sufficient knowledge to effectively use the hardware and content.
Infrastructure
The hardware infrastructure should match the vision and specific circumstances of the schools.
Content
Educational content should fit the vision and support the existing education.

Ingredients for success
The success of CLASSworks is based on a number of principles
The CLASSworks programme already exists for over 20 years. The success of CLASSworks is based on the involvement of the schools. Each school consciously chooses to participate in the CLASSworks programme and contributes financially.
We train and support teachers for a period of two years in using the digital teaching materials in class. A lot of attention is paid to new teaching methods that also stimulate the development of 21st-century skills.
We use standard hardware as much as possible within CLASSworks so that schools can easily expand or replace it. We did, however, develop a customised server, the ElimuPi, for the specific circumstances at the schools.
This allows each school access to a huge library with educational material. This material is selected based on the national curriculum and can be used without an internet connection.
